Most people associate Tar Heels with good North Carolina basketball team since it is one of the best in the country. I think that Michael Jordan attended this institution but I’m not positive. That’s because when I think of this institution, I think of North Carolina Tar Heels football.

The head coach, John Bunting is having his last season for the school this year. I guess that the team is going to go through some big changes and this may be for the better. The North Carolina Tar Heels football team is saying goodbye to John Bunting this year but where is the organization heading after his departure?

The fighting Irish: Known for its ability to push for a balance in academics and extra-curricular amongst the students, The fighting Irish or Notre Dame is one popular state school where students go to because of everything they have to offer. 

They’re another team noted for having a strong football team. In 2005 they made it to the Fiesta Bowl. Notre Dame makes aloud their presence in a football season. They have the reputation of playing hard and being very devoted and dedicated to the game. Players in the team are expected to give a 110% in every game; and that is probably why they deserve to be talked about as one of the best football team in the schools’ league.

Players or coaches or anyone at all that plays a role and has a position in a team, but gambles with football game is the most disgraceful act. Recently, some of the teams in Italy Soccer league that has been involved with gambling are being seriously investigated.

Originally, football in American started out as Soccer (European Football). The first soccer game ever played in America was one between the Rutgers and Princeton College. Later in 1876, Walter Camp, the father of American football, helped ignite American football by writing one of the first rules of the game. The National Football League then emerged, as professional football; it has continued to grow ever since; the game has been around for over a century, it has grown from a small sport into one of the most significant sports in America.

People often confuse American football and European football for one another. The title of the games might mislead you into thinking they’re one of the same; albeit, they share dissimilarities to a very great extent. A football game, by definition, is a game in which 2 teams of 11 players each, kick or carry a ball into a goal or over a line to score points. The confusion can be clarified, simply, by realizing how the Americans play the game and how the Europeans play it.

In an American football game, either hand is used to carry the ball across the opponents’ goal line or feet is used to kick the ball through the opponents’ open-topped goal posts. A European football or what they all call ‘Soccer’, is where a player, dominantly, uses his feet to control the ball and score it through opponents’ net goal; the ball can be controlled using other parts of the body like the chest, head, and knee as well.

Penn State is one of the college teams located on the East coast that is noted for their football seasons.  Some years they have it good and other years it seems like they aren't playing as well. 

They are usually the underdog in the beginning of the season they come back strong.  Penn State isn't one of the college schools that are as hyped up as UCLA or Notre Dame, but they still do pretty well.  Most of the time, Penn State does make it to a small bowl and has had the chance to play in the Rose Bowl, several times.  Penn State is a university located in Penn State and Altoona Pennsylvania. The school is also known as the Nittany Lions.

Football is a very popular game played in the United States.  It is easily confused with European Football.  The difference with American and European football is that European football is also known as soccer.  Soccer of course is where you use your feet to control the ball and American football is where you use your hands to control the game and the ball.  In America, there are college ball games and major league ball games or the National Football League.

In college ball, they complete with schools that are located throughout the States and they play for Bowl titles.  The game of it all is the Rose Bowl.  Every school wants to take home the title of being Rose Bowl champs, but even if they don't make it to the Rose Bowl, there are many other important games like the Orange Bowl or Cotton Bowl.
