Youth football is one way that younger children can learn discipline and respect.  Children need to associate with other children and be part of something.  This will help them with their self-esteem as an adult.  Also, football is a great way to install values and get your child off the couch.

Because of technology like computers and television, children do not want to go outside and entertain themselves.  Why both, when they can get easily entertainment through the things that they watch or listen to.  That's why one America is having an increase in child obesity.  Children are not being as active as they once were.  Cartoons are on all daylong now, and the have television stations devoted to their entertainment.

However, none of them are encouraging the children to join a sport or group because that would be taking viewers from them.  You should encourage your son to join American or European Football (also known as soccer) leagues.  It will get the heart pumping, the blood flowing, and the benefits of meeting new people.  If you find that your child isn't as popular as they should be, then maybe getting them to focus on a sport is what they need.  Not only will they meet new people to become friends with, but also they will have something to make them feel useful.

The only problem with youth football or youth sports in general is the parents.  Some people feel the need to live through their child or be heavily into their activities.  It is good to support your football star or athlete, but then there are times when you shouldn't say anything.  Parents need to realize that a game is a game because their competitiveness is what break's down American's children.  If your child isn't having fun and is stressed from all your expectations, then they won't perform to their best ability.  That's why it is important to be the cheerleader to your child.

Cheerleader's are always positive and never have negative things to say.  By acting properly and getting your child involved in youth sports, particular youth football, you are giving your child more than what the TV can give them.  Sports provide lessons that will mold your child's values and guide them as they grow.
