National Football League – The Professional Competition: NFL or the National Football League is all about the pro-players and business. Like England’s Major Soccer League, English Premiership; Americans’ also have their own American football major or professional league, called the National Football League. The NFL consists of 32 teams that are divided into two conferences: the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC).

The winner or champion of these two conferences meets in the final contest of the NFL’s season, which is nothing but the Super Bowl. Like in the 2006 Super Bowl, for instance, The Steelers played for the AFC while the Seahawks played for the NFC.

An NFL season is played during the late summer, through autumn, and into January. The 32 teams: Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Redskins, and St. Louis Rams; battle it out every week to see who will go to the playoffs and eventually enter the ultimate battle – i.e. the Super Bowl.
